AND NOW THE IRAN…

Every one is aware of the law and order situation in Pakistan. Most of the terrorist groups have joined hands, for their activities here that’s why they have already attacked most important and highly secured areas.

Pakistanis are not facing ordinary criminals or terrorists, but in fact on one hand, the enemy is more cunning and influential one, while on the other hand the real enemy is invisible too. The local and front-line terrorists are just puppets and the hands behind them are sitting far way.

Any disturbance in a particular State has a certain impact over the neighboring States and mostly it has been observed that a neighboring State had always hand in it. Same is the case of Pakistan, where unfortunately the involvement of India and foreign elements in Afghanistan is now an open secret. Those elements from different parts of the world is using the Afghan soil for their interest and in some cases the Pakistani soil too, with the help of some “agents” against Iran.

On October 18, a suicide attacked was carried out in Sisitan, an area near to Pakistani border. The target was Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard, known as ‘Passdaran-e-Inqilab’. It resulted in killing of five senior commanders, along with at least 26 other people.  More than two dozen others are wounded. It was not the first time the Guards were attacked in Iran.

“Jundullah” also known as “Army of God”, “Allah’s Soldiers”, and “God’s Brigade” organization was termed as responsible for the attacked. The Organization has a long history of kidnapping and killing of Iranian soldiers and officials.

Jundullah is also said to be helped and backed by the US and Israel. A statement of Abdolhamid Rigi, the brother of Jundullah leader Abdulmalik Rigi was recorded on July 1, 2009 in a court session held in the southeastern city of Zahedan, Iran, in which he said that the group had been trained and financed by “the US and Zionists”.

According to an Iranian Brigadier General Mohammad Ghafari, “Jundullah is receiving support from British and US forces in neighboring Afghanistan for its campaign of violence in Sistan-Baluchistan”.

This statement is looking sensible as Pakistan has already a lot of problems inside its territory and can not afford such kind of adventure. At the same time Pakistan has no problem with Iran in past and both the States have no differences. The famous Gas-Pipeline Deal between Iran, Pakistan and India, in which India has showed lack of interest. Pakistan is still committed to it, besides pressure from the Americans.

Moreover, Pakistan has a long term brotherly relations with Iran and it was none other but Iran, which was the very first State, recognized Pakistan as a State. Iran has never created problem for Pakistan during the war times in past and remained neutral.

Iranians have a right sense of the situation and they are well aware of their enemy; that’s why soon after the incident, the Iranian government reacted in a sensible way. They blamed their enemy and ask Pakistan for help.

Pakistan has already arrested more than a dozen members of Jundullah and had already handed over them to Iran and Pakistan has again said that it would help Iran in punishing the culprits.

It is not a co-incident that besides India, Pakistan has problems form other neighboring States. Post Taliban Afghanistan with the NATO and American occupation has already created a lot of problems for Pakistan. The master minds behind the Baluchistan disturbance are sitting in Kabul and if the Afghan government is not involved in all that, the Karzai administration has no control over them. The law and order situation in Afghanistan has an indirect effect over Pakistan through out the recent history and current terrorist acts are certainly a direct impact of our Afghan policy and the presence of our enemies there.

China is time tested friend and no doubt it has contributed a lot in almost all fields of progress in Pakistan. But China was annoyed on the activities of Uyghur in its Xinjiang area. In July’s violence by the Uyghur, it was blamed that the separatists were providing help from Pakistan.

And now the Iran, in the name of Jandullah, is not happy with Pakistan.

The question arise that whether Pakistan, where the economic position and, law and order situation are worst, is capable of spreading in all the neighboring States?

Certainly not. But at the same time the terrorists are using Pakistan’s soil, which means the international and regional players with the power of money. It also means that we have problem with in Pakistan, because the non-State factor is stronger one and for the moment it is out of control.

The world and especially Afghanistan, Iran and of course China must realize the facts and problems Pakistan facing, as the enemy is enemy of the entire region and terrorism has no boundaries.
